At SKAN, our journey began amidst the challenges of
the COVID-19 pandemic. We witnessed a heartfelt struggle: a beloved café owned by a deaf
friend of ours was forced to close, largely due to communication became too difficult under
social restrictions. That made us realize how technology could be in breaking barriers, not
just for businesses , but for people.
When the world reopened,as travel began to rebound and international tourists, including
visitors from China, South Korea, and Japan, flocked to the Philippines (a vibrant
destination steeped in culture and hospitality), we noticed another critical gap. Many
travelers, despite their enthusiasm, faced difficulties navigating paper menus, leaving them
unsure of what to order, with our digital menu tourist can see the photos and
translations.Everyone connect effortlessly.
Thus, SKAN was born—an acronym derived from the first initials of our four founding
partners, symbolizing our collective commitment to innovation that enhanced customer
satisfaction, efficiency, and growth. we’re here to redefine how people connect over
food—one scan at a time.
